blue horse rescue is very, very excited to share the journey of the beginnings of the Blue horse rescue mini barn! and when we say mini, we mean mini - four stalls, turn out and paddocks to bring in 4 - 5 miniature horses to help on their way to a great new homes!
2019 was devoted to acclimating to triple degree summer weather, high gusting hot winds, dust (like you have never seen before), clean up and getting this old neglected barn ready for our next group of minis to come in.
it’s been quite the journey as we have cleaned, scrubbed, removed ancient manure, scrubbed stall walls and mats, laid gravel for runs, French drains, painted, put up shelters, fencing for paddocks & turn out, gates, feed stations, hay shed, well water - the list goes on. We still have a way to go - winter mud, (where does that hill drain to? Oh, into the turn out, of course!!!), more gravel for turn out and training area - the list goes on, but we are so excited to see what 2020 brings and most of all … the yet unknown little ones that will be with us this coming year.
